The 2018 Theme

This year, bold contrasting letterforms paired with fluid shapes took center stage and told the story of a more established and mature event to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the festival.

OYG created a custom font and complementary Illustrations that served as the cornerstone for all graphic elements used to promote the festival. LIFF collateral designed by OYG included a 50+ page program, posters, postcards, rack cards, attendee badges, and more.


The LIFF overall look is refreshed and evolved year after year. This year, to celebrate ten years of the festival, a more grown-up look that continued to embrace a playful tone was required.
Together, these elements tell a story of an event that has evolved through the years but still keeps the same essence of fun and respect for films.

In 2015, we refreshed the festival with a rebrand and a new logo. The series of materials has been endlessly enjoyable to work on (even if it does give us a dangerous dose of summer fever).
