VideoOut is a non-profit that travels the United States to amplify LGBTQIA+ voices for advocacy and education. The stories collected build bridges of empathy and dismantle misconceptions.
One story is important, several stories are powerful, but all of our stories together are an unstoppable collective that demands equality.

OrangeYouGlad combined two meaningful visual elements to clearly represent the essential work that VideoOut does in collecting and sharing a library of coming out stories. The new structure of the new mark is that of a video play button, but built upon a stripe pattern inspired by Gilbert Bakers’ design of the Gay Pride flag. The mark has been paired with a strong yet approachable slab serif type face. Our goal was to not only make a logo that was clear in purpose but that carried with it the weight and the importance of the work being done.

Embracing story telling and sharing, VideoOut’s work goes beyond their digital library. They host Story Sharing days, Kindness days and other in-person events that bring coming out stories into communities. As an expression of the new branding OrangeYouGlad worked on a poster series template for use in these in-person events.

Visibility matters, so it was important that all collateral looked full of pride.
