Ulysses Press is an independent publisher with a unique and modern twist. They publish books across a wide variety of topics from a Hogwarts Holiday Cookbook (unofficial) to Dating (with humor) to Pandemic Prepping. Their authors range from Cardi B to Shainna Ali. Ulysses Press needed a new identity that showed the evolution of the brand highlighted the quirky and unique range of books they publish. We combined a modern update of their logo with a sophisticated palette and a humorous and distinct illustration and typographic style.

The original logo references Leopold Bloom exploring the world in James Joyce’s novel Ulysses. Our redesign juxtaposes Mr Bloom with a minimal modern look, set in a classic seal structure.
We developed a system of illustrations that captured the quirky and dynamic identity of their book list.
